Pyxis Strategy Group was built around a simple belief: Organizations should not have to add more complexity in order to solve complexity.
As organizations grow and change, the systems behind the work do not always keep pace. Processes that once worked become harder to manage. Responsibilities become less clear. Knowledge gets concentrated in a few people. Leaders and teams find themselves working around problems instead of having the time or structure to address them.
Pyxis exists to help clear the path.
We work alongside organizations to understand what is happening, strengthen the systems that support the work, and develop practical ways forward that people can actually use and sustain.
How We Think
Understand before recommending. We do not believe the person who speaks first, speaks loudest, or holds the highest title necessarily has the whole picture. We listen across perspectives and seek to understand how work actually happens before recommending what should change.
Evidence before assumptions. A visible problem is not always the underlying problem. We distinguish what is known from what is assumed and identify what still needs to be understood before committing resources to a solution.
People are part of the solution. The people closest to the work often hold important knowledge about where systems succeed, where they break down, and why. Their experience matters.
Practical over complicated. A solution is only useful if people can use it. We work to reduce unnecessary complexity and build practical systems, tools, and ways of working that fit the organization.
Capability, not dependency. Our goal is not to make an organization dependent on Pyxis. We want the people we serve to leave stronger, clearer, and better equipped to carry the work forward.
Why Pyxis
The name Pyxis comes from the constellation associated with the mariner’s compass.
For us, the idea represents something simple: When the path becomes difficult to see, clarity can help an organization find its direction and move forward.
Pyxis does not exist to take the wheel.
We help organizations clear the path, strengthen what supports the journey, and move forward with greater confidence and capability.
